I've been lazy in the
past about recording my past layouts; I have a habit of becoming really sick of
my old ones and not wanting to post 'reminders' on my site of how it used to
look. Believe me, in the years I've been designing I've come up with some
horrors! So, these are not all the layouts I've had (far from it, actually), but
the ones I've had since May 2006.

I made this layout when I was beginning to get a little sick of the last one.
Well, perhaps 'restless' is more accurate. With this layout I tried to correct a
few of the problems I'd had with the last, i.e. the header is smaller, the
content area is relatively rather than absolutely sized and the index page looks
more organised. I wanted a design which was just as mature and
professional-looking as the last, while still retaining some personality. It's a
lot simpler than the layouts I've made before, but I think this works in its
favour. The image is from an artbook called River's End by Otohiko
Takano.

"Lu Zhongwen" (or
"绿中文") is Chinese for "green Chinese". This layout was up
for quite a while (for me), and I still like it a lot. This layout was
Chinese-themed and based on the famous poem "Mu Lan Shi", or "Mulan's Poem"
which tells the story of a young Chinese girl who goes to war in disguise in
place of her elderly father. If you've seen Disney's adaptation you'll probably
recognise it. The Chinese script on the left of the image is part of the (very
long) poem. The illustration in the header is a piece of art by Taiwanese
artists Chen Shu Fen & Common - this layout was made when I particularly liked
their work.
