3rd June - No new members. There are however some new songs on the band's MySpace!
20th February - One new member today - Michelle! :) There are also some
really cool new photos of Lindsay on the band's MySpace.
16th January - Happy New Year! Two new members today, hi Mark and Donna!
I also added a new set of buttons to the code page, check them out.
2007
28th December - Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you're all having a
good holiday season. Just a quick update - Clayton left us all a Christmas
present on their MySpace - a wonderful new song called 'Nightingales and Olive
Trees', which is about Lindsay's parents and was co-written by Lindsay and Rick.
to listen to and even download it (scroll down in the music player)!
7th November - Hi everyone, I added a new member today - SD :)
It's been pretty quiet on the Clayton front recently (for aforementioned
reasons). Last week, they performed during SL Dublin's Discover Ireland week
(you can see photos at my SL Flickr account here).
Also, there is a fantastic new song on the band's MySpace, entitled 'So Long'. Karen
is running a competition for a free download of the song at the
official forums,
so check it out!
30th September - One new member, welcome, Silvo :) I also added a new
interview transcript (in two parts) of Lindsay talking to Michelle on radio
station CRC in July.
Clayton are in a slow period at the moment while one of the band members
recovers from an ear infection. However, I've been told that Lindsay is using
this opportunity to write more, and that we should be hearing more of her
writing soon :)
29th August - One new member, hi Tomasz!
I added a TON of photos to the photos section today, including some live band
ones of Clayton and two extremely cute photos of Lindsay with her kitten and
puppy :) I also made a new page for all the Second Life photos, and added Liz's
flash slide-shows from the newer gigs there :)
If you're in London any time soon, check out the gig schedule!
17th August - One new member today, hi Darren! Happy Birthday Rick, and
Liz (for yesterday!) :) Clayton are performing on Second Life tonight at
SLWoodstock
at 7-8pm SLT - come along and see the guys!
Also, the EP 'It Was Meant to Be' is now on sale on CD from the band's website,
and also on iTunes. Click the picture above to be taken to Clayton's website.
10th July - Another two members today - hi, Hilly and Karen :)
O.O I could go on forever about what's happened with Lindsay in the last month... wow.
Well, the band changed name again, to Clayton. It looks like they'll be staying
with this one :) After a slew of new songs (working fast, guys?), a ton of gigs
and even a couple in Second Life, they're moving from strength to strength
(which I'm extremely happy about - they all deserve it, the sheer amount of
effort they've put in!). Clayton were even asked to perform at the SecondFest
concert on Second Life a short while ago.
Two HUGE bits of news though - the band have managed to score a concert at O2
(formerly the Millennium Dome) in London on 4th of August. I can't go - which I
am VERY sore about - but if you can, please go and support Lindsay and the guys.
Also - ALSO - Clayton's first single with Lindsay is due to be released on the
same day! It will be called 'It Was Meant to Be' (very apt XD) and you can find
out more information and eventually buy it on the band's website.
Also check out the gigs listing page, I've added a ton of new ones XD There's
also another Second Life gig towards the end of the month.
Congratulations to Lindsay's former bandmate Edele Barrett and her husband Michael on
the birth of their baby girl :)
7th June - Two new members again today, Jay and Tiff. Well, things have
been moving on at record pace recently, and Callaghan has been moving from
strength to strength. Two new songs have been posted up on the band's
MySpace, including Free (which was
written by Lindsay and her husband Lee Brennan). The other is an uptempo song
called Whatever I Want. Both are fantastic!
Since I last wrote, the band have performed several more gigs including a live
gig at the Bedford in Balham, London on 5th June which was screened
simultaneously into Second Life with great success. At this gig, however, it was announced that the
band are to change their name to Clayton Road because of disagreements with the
ex-singer. The new name was chosen as it is where several people involved with
the band live, and it is also where the band's songs are written, recorded and
occasionally performed live and on Second Life.
Naturally this name change will take a while to settle as things are changed to
match, but I'll post here as and when the new website addresses etc are
announced. I've also added a gig listings page to the site (link is above).
