Choro Club

Band name: Choro Club

Information: Choro Club composed and performed the background music you'll hear in both series of ARIA. Some pieces are collaborations between Choro Club and Takeshi Senoo.

 

Takeshi Senoo

Name: 妹尾武 Takeshi Senoo

 

Birthday: 26th December

Birthplace: Hyogo

Information: Senoo-san is an accomplished composer and pianist. Alongside Choro Club, he composed and performed the background music for both series of ARIA. The majority of the pieces he composed were performed predominantly on piano.

 

Yui Makino

Name: 牧野由依 Yui Makino

 

Birthday: 19th January

Birthplace: Tokyo

Blood type: O

Hobbies/likes: swimming, playing the piano

Information: Makino-san sings the opening themes for both series of ARIA, which are 'Undine' and 'Euforia' respectively. She also sings several insert songs which appear at various points in the anime, the most notable of which is 'Symphony' (Animation ep. 11).

 

Makino-san is also a seiyuu; her most famous role is that of the main character Sakura Kinomoto from the series 'Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle', for which she also recorded an insert song and the theme song for the film, 'Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: Torikago no Kuni no Himegimi'. She has also recorded songs for the series 'NHK ni Youkoso!' and 'Sousei no Aquarion'.

ROUND Table featuring Nino

 

Information: ROUND TABLE featuring Nino are responsible for both ending themes of ARIA; 'Rainbow' from ARIA the Animation and 'Natsu Machi' from ARIA the Natural. Similarly to Yui Makino, they also recorded insert songs for both series, including 'Just For You' (Animation ep. 13) and 'Shiosai' (Natural ep. 9).

 

ROUND TABLE featuring Nino are most famous for the theme tune to the anime series 'Chobits', 'Let Me Be With You'. They have also recorded music for 'NHK no Youkoso!', '.hack//DUSK', 'Uninhabited Planet Survive' and 'Top wo Nerae 2'.

 

Eri Kawai

Name: 河井英里 Eri Kawai

 

Birthday: 8th May

Birthplace: Tokyo

Information: Kawai-san is the real-life counterpart behind Athena Glory's singing voice. In the role of Athena, she performed the songs 'Barcarole' (Animation ep. 6) and 'Coccoro' (Natural ep. 13). She also composed the lyrics for 'Undine', the opening theme song of ARIA the Animation.

 

She has also performed theme songs for the anime series 'AIR', 'Strange Dawn' and 'Utawarerumono'.

 

Mina Kubota

Name: 窪田ミナ Mina Kubota

 

Birthday: 5th February

Birthplace: Fukuoka

 

Information: Kubota-san is the composer for both 'Undine' and 'Euforia', the opening themes for the two ARIA series. She also composed one of the insert songs in ARIA the Natural.

 

Kubota-san has also composed for other anime series, including 'Kaleido Star', 'Kannazuki no Miko' and 'Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora'.

 

KAORI

Name: KAORI; a.k.a. 川菜翠 Midori Kawana

 

Birthday: 28th February

Birthplace: Kanagawa

Blood type: A

Information: KAORI, born 川菜明子 Akiko Kawana, is a member of Japanese rock band SpunkyStrider. As a solo artist, she recorded the opening theme for the ARIA Playstation2 game, 'ARIA the Natural ~Tooi Kioku no Mirage~', 'BLUE BLUE WAVE'.

 

She is also a seiyuu, and most known for her roles as Nana 'Hachi' Komatsu in the series 'NANA' and Haruka in the series 'Pokémon'.
