Albert Pitt アルバート・ピット

Albert Pitt (more commonly known as Al) is a gnome, one of the diminutive people who live beneath the surface of Aqua and work to keep the planet's gravity stable. He lives with several other gnomes beneath the surface of the planet, including a much older character named Apa.
Al very rarely comes to the surface, and then only to do grocery shopping, so he is very susceptible to sun stroke. He met Akari Mizunashi and Aika S. Granzchesta on one of these excursions and took them on a tour of the underground city beneath Neo-Venezia, where he lives and works. In the anime, this tour never happens and we learn about his job only briefly in one of the episodes.
He is 19, but appears to be much younger than he is; a mistake Aika made to her great regret. He appears to be very fond of her - in the anime, he even gives her a 'rose quartz' stone on the Festa del Boccolo. Aika is confused and simultaneously embarrassed into silence about her feelings for him.
Al's personality is almost a direct opposite to Akatsuki Izumo's - he is pleasant, soft-spoken and charming, although occasionally slips into a state of paranoia very alike Aika's. He has a habit of behaving younger than he is, then saying something which makes Aika comment that he sounds like an old man.
