About ARIA * The Manga * The Anime * The PS2 Game * Characters * Aqua * People   Akatsuki Izumo　出雲暁   Age: 19 From: Floating Island, Neo-Venezia, Aqua Occupation: Salamander Company: unknown   Akatsuki Izumo is a trainee salamander. Salamanders control the weather on Aqua, and Akatsuki is thus quite a busy person. He was brought up on the floating island which is in Aqua's orbit, and rarely travels down to the surface. Woody, who also lives on the floating island, is his childhood friend.   He was Akari Mizunashi's first customer when she first came to Neo-Venezia and appears to be quite fond of her in his own way. He calls her 'momiko' or 'pigtails' and pulls her hair as a greeting. Akatsuki seems to live in a constant state of grumpiness, but Akari is always able to cheer him up. He is very easily flattered, and has a childish and flamboyant side to his character which surfaces when people flatter him.   He has an older brother upon whom he relies on financially, and who likes to tease him (quite roughly). He openly declares his undying love for Alicia Florence on a regular basis, but may really like Akari.   < back to Characters
