Akari Mizunashi 水無灯里
Age: 16
Akari Mizunashi was born on Earth and came to Aqua 11 months before the story begins, to become an undine. She now works at ARIA Company under the guidance of fellow employee, Alicia Florence, and lives there with the company's 'president', Aria-shachou. Akari is always very cheerful and optimistic about everything and everyone she encounters. She loves living in Neo-Venezia very much, and thoroughly enjoys discovering the mysteries and secrets of Aqua (of which she has an uncanny knack of encountering!).
Akari is not very confident about her own ability, but delights in everything to do with being an undine. She always tries her hardest. Aika S. Granzchesta and Alice Carroll are her two best friends. Together with Aika, Akari is a single - that is the second stage of the training to become an undine. When she loses her glove, she will become a fully-trained undine - a prima.
In the manga, Akari often writes e-mail to an unknown person (a family member?), telling them about her life on Aqua. In the anime, it is Ai she writes to, a little girl from Earth who visited Aqua in the first episode.
