Other Places 他

There are many other
places of interest on Aqua. When the planet was originally colonized, people of
different nationality were allocated different islands in the Neo-Adriatic sea,
and so these islands are fascinating to visit for their cultural appeal alone.
There are also many undiscovered islands which are havens of peace and
tranquillity, if you want to escape the busy city. In order to visit most places,
you will need to enlist the help of a friendly undine, or depending on the
destination, catch a ferry, train or hovercraft.

Japan
Island 日本の島
When Aqua was first colonized, this island was allocated to the Japanese people.
The early colonists built a Shinto shrine among the heavy forests of this
island, dedicated to the spirit Inari. The island is particularly pleasant to
visit in Autumn, for the beauty of the native maple trees. Japan Island is also
famous for its delicious inari-zushi (fried tofu sushi).

Hot
Springs Resort 温泉
Aqua has many hot springs, however perhaps this one, on an island close to
Neo-Venezia, is perhaps the most unusual. It was originally a manor house now in
disrepair. When the hot spring flooded the ground level of the house, the owners
decided to make it into a resort. Visitors can stay in the upstairs rooms, and
banquets are available on request. The resort is particularly popular during
Aqua's winter.

Countryside 山野
A traveller venturing onto the mainland near Neo-Venezia will not have to travel
far before encountering the region's beautiful countryside. This area is
serviced by a regular train service. The area around Shirosaki is particularly
glorious in Autumn.

'Neverland' ネバーラン
Aqua's many undiscovered islands are havens for those seeking total isolation
from the busy city. White sandy beaches and lush forests await those willing to
explore Aqua's seas.
